YEAR

2021

In a world where noise pollution has become a pervasive problem, protecting one’s hearing is of utmost importance.

Fortunately, technology has made it possible to enjoy loud sounds without damaging our ears.
One such innovation is Loop, a brand that provides earplugs that protect your hearing while still allowing you to enjoy loud sounds. In this article, we will delve into the creative process, strategy, and thinking that went into designing Loop’s web design, webshop, branding, and logo design.

'Let's hear it'

To gain a deeper understanding of Loop’s business, company, product, and users, we facilitated workshops with stakeholders and conducted extensive interviews with actual users.

Through these activities, we obtained valuable insights into the needs, expectations, and pain points of our target audience, enabling us to customize Loop’s products and services to better suit their requirements.

By interacting directly with the users and primary stakeholders of Loop, we obtained direct feedback and developed a more extensive comprehension of the market and environment, which guided Loop’s business and product strategies moving forward.

Creative thinking

The creative process for any project begins with understanding the client’s needs, objectives, and target audience. In the case of Loop, we needed to design a website that would appeal to a young, tech-savvy audience. The website had to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and informative. Our team of designers and developers began by conducting research on the hearing protection market, looking at competitors’ websites, and identifying best practices.

Once we had a good understanding of the market and competition, we moved on to creating wireframes and mockups of the platform. This allowed us to visualize the website’s structure and layout and get feedback from the client. We then refined the design until we had a final mockup that the client was very satisfied with.

After the re-design was finalized, we moved on to creating the online store. We used Shopify as our e-commerce platform of choice, as it is user-friendly and easy to integrate with other tools. We designed the webshop to be easy to use, with clear calls to action and a sophisticated checkout process.

Next, we moved on to the branding and logo design. We wanted the brand to be modern, edgy, and sophisticated. We chose a color scheme that was bold and eye-catching, with shades of black, white, and orange. The logo was designed to be simple yet memorable, with the ‘OO’ in Loop being shaped like the infinity symbol.

Strategy

The strategy for Loop was to position the brand as a premium, high-quality provider of hearing protection. To achieve this, we focused on creating a brand identity that was modern, edgy, and sophisticated.

In addition, we created content that would appeal to Loop’s target audience. This included blog posts on the dangers of noise pollution, the benefits of hearing protection, and how to use Loop’s earplugs. We also created social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, where we could showcase the brand’s personality and engage with customers.
